Well seem to have missed 08 altogether here... guess to much changed for us to let me get here and post... my Mom now lives with us- has been for almost a yr now- this time last yr she fell and broke her hip... after rehab she came to our house - we are now considering finding an assisted living or nursing home for her... it is getting to much for me to do every day....
and after a fall she had last fall where she needed staples to close a head wound I think she would be safer too- would like to get her settled in one before this spring if we can....
Out grands are all getting older and bigger- got a couple high school graduations coming and a birthday next week too... always something to keep us busy .....
I will try and post more often now.... and add some picures too...

This is what my kitchen looks like now- son and hubby sanded down the cabinets and restained them... it was a lot of work for them - but turned out so nice...

and we got a new dishwasher, it goes with the new stove I got last yr ... Yes I had a plan all the time... it all goes so very well with the new flooring.. makes me almost happy to cook and clean now.

Hi again,

I finally got busy and loaded the pics so I could post them... not very good ones- I am not the best picure taker - hopefully will have some better when the kids get their cd from the person that did the professional ones....

Was a wonderful day though - even with the little t-storm and rain we got- turned out really well.

Here are the pics of our new kitchen flooring and carpet- took me forever I know- but we did have a wedding in the backyard too- will post those pics soon too ... this summer has just flown by it seems.... sure kept us busy... now it is almost time to send the boys off to school... will have 3 of them going this year.... they are all growing so very fast.

What happened to May?

Wow, how did it get to be the next to last week of May already- time flies when you are having fun I guess- the boys are anxious to see school end on the first of June... have a kindergarten graduation to attend .. but before that Timothy gets to eat hot lunch in the cafeteria with the "big" kids" he is so excited! He also had a wonderful birthday party ... got to have kids from school as well as most of the family too- it was fun for all!
Joe has all the cupboards sanded and re stained in the kitchen, working on the doors and drawer fronts now- and the island...took the next 4 days off to get it done. It will look so good... and on the first the floor will be done in there too... then we can figure out when we can do the carpet laying- going to take a day and a half to move all the furniture in and out I think... but will be so worth it when it is done..
Sean and Jackie are working on their wedding plans- now we are doing the ceremony too- so will have to decorate the arch for that- thinking netting and flowers..
We also got our new to us Tahoe, it's black and in wonderful condition- Joe has been driving it since we got it-- Sean gave him a lock for the hitch and new floor mats throughout it for and early father's day present- is nice to have a vehicle big enough for us to take the boys at times and will be a nice vehicle to travel in too...

I have to share how lucky I feel to be able to finally start fixing up our house some ... we tend to put everyone else first and us last... which is the way it should be in our way of thinking but every once in a while it is really nice to decide to do what we want for ourselves first... a little balance in life is good!
We have a lot planned for the next month or so- new flooring in whole house- painting the kitchen cabinets and island- new curtains for guest bedroom and family room... a new storage shed for back yard to give us more garage room.... and a place to hide woodpile too... a gate in back fence , planting the flower beds and more pots to make yard prettier for wedding reception party for son and his fiance... painting the deck- (winter was really hard on it this last yr) maybe a new vehicle soon too if we can find a good used one for hubby.
I feel so very blessed to be able to do this stuff and still take care of family ... will be a busy time for us... lots of decisions and plan making but fun too .
Oh yes we can take down the baby gate finally too- all the kids can make it up and down the stairs just fine now-- will be fixing the wall it was fastened to also!
I will try and add photos as we do all this....

This is my Mom- in the middle- to the left is Timothy-5, Jimmy 12, holding Aiden- 9 months. Jasmine- 4, Teresa holding Derek 4, back row is Sean holding Dylan, Sean Jr- 2 , Crystal , Korey 10, Joseph- 12, Carrie holding Nicoli... thats most of her grands and great- grands....

Mom is 86 this year and not to happy having her pictures taken but agreed for the kids sake... fun was had by all at the party too!

This is me and my handsome hubby of 30 years , was taken at the dinner of our (his) family reunion- we got to see a whole lot of people we haven't seen in years and some we see more often- we made all the usual promises to try and keep in touch- I am really going to try this time to do so- life is to short not to stay in touch with family......
